Cuttack: Patients and staff of the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack had a narrow escape on Monday when a shred of roof fell off the ceiling at the outdoor ticket ward of Surgery department.
Although, there were many patients and their relatives who were waiting to collect their tickets, no one was injured in the incident.
According to sources, some computers and furniture were damaged.
However, the officials stopped issuing tickets for sometime due to commotion after the incident.
Likewise, rain water entered the Oncology Department of Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Research Centre in Cuttack.
Patients had to face untold suffering to reach the OPD due to heavy rain and waterlogging on the hospital premises.
