Bhubaneswar: Mukteswar complex in Odisha capital is decked up for the much-awaited three-day Mukteswar Dance Festival 2023, beginning Wednesday.
One of the Marquee events in the city of temples, the festival showcases the cultural heritage of Odisha to the world while celebrating the unrivalled charisma of Odissi. The graceful moves, the trinkets’ of the anklets and the symphony of music against the backdrop of the magnificent temple make for a magical evening.
This year’s festival will see solo, duet and group Odissi dance performances by artistes, including Kavita Diwedi, Shobha Bisht and Deepika Bisht, Madhulita Maohaptra, Gaurishankar Dash, and Jagyandatta Pradhan, from across the country.
The festival was first celebrated in 1984 and became an annual event at Mukteshwar Temple from 2004. It is being organised by the Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department, Bhubaneshwar, in association with Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi.
