Mumbai: Taking film promotion to a different level altogether, the team of upcoming movie ‘PadMan’ have come up with a ‘PadMan Challenge’ which talks about menstruation.
As a part of the PadMan challenge, people have been asked to simple click a photograph of them holding a sanitary napkin and post it on the social media.
The challenge, which was kicked off by Arunachalam, Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte and Twinkle Khanna, has been garnering huge popularity on social media. Bollywood stars including Amir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Aditi Rao Hyderi, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Shabana Azmi, Ayushman Khurana and Arjun Kapoor have joined the campaign.
‘PadMan’ is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganatham, a social entrepreneur who invented a machine for manufacturing low-cost sanitary napkins. The film is slated for February 9 release.
