New Delhi: The Central government will set up a single-window portal for the benefit of pensioners and superannuated elderly citizens.
Union Minister of State for Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh said the objective of Common Pension Portal is to create a single window digital mechanism for pensioners to raise their grievances and get them resolved without having to approach different authorities in person.
Pensioners can also provide their inputs and suggestions through the portal, Jitendra said while addressing the 32nd Meeting of Standing Committee of Voluntary Agencies (SCOVA) for Review and Rationalisation of Pension Rules.
All ministries involved in the process of sanctioning or disbursing pension dues, will be interlinked to this system. Pensioners and Nodal officers will be able to view the status of grievance online till disposal, according to a Personnel Ministry statement.
The minister informed that 3,08,625 Life Certificates have been done since the launch of Doorstep Service for submission of Digital Life Certificate (DLC) through Postman in November 2020.
