Bhubaneswar: An inter-ministerial Central team (IMCT), which is touring the six Bulbul-hit districts in Odisha, visited Kendrapara district on Friday.
The seven-member team is led by Saheli Ghosh Roy, Joint Secretary of Central Information Commission (CIC), Ministry of Home Affairs.
After arriving in Bhubaneswar on Thursday afternoon, had visited Dhamra and Chandbali blocks in Bhadrak district.
As per schedule, the team has split into two groups and will visit Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts on Friday.
One group arrived in Rajnagar block in Kendrapara district in the morning and will visit Erasama and Kujaga blocks in Jagatsinghpur district in the afternoon.
The other group will visit Chandbali and Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district in the forenoon and Bhogarai block in Balasore district in the afternoon.
After winding up its visit, the team will arrive in Bhubaneswar in late afternoon and meet the chief secretary and senior officials of the departments concerned at Lok Seva Bhawan at 5 pm. The team will leave for New Delhi in the evening.
It will submit its report to the Union Home Ministry on the extent of damage in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts due to Cyclone Bulbul.
The other members of the team are Vandana Singhal, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Power; Deena Nath, consultant, Department of Expenditure; SS Modi, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development; Amrish Pal Singh, Superintending Engineer, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), Odisha; Virendra Singh, Director, Agriculture, Patna and Sunil Kumar, Sunil Kumar of Ministry of Road Transport, Regional Office, Bhubaneswar.
