New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Thursday approved three road and bridge projects in Odisha with an estimated budget of Rs 488.6 crore.
The Ministry accorded approval to total 23 projects on upgradation, rehabilitation and reconstruction in different states and Union territories.
The projects in Odisha are located in Ganjam, Puri and Malkangiri districts. The ministry approved construction of a bypass on NH-59 for Berhampur town including 4L ROB on EPC mode with a budget Rs 196.94 crore.
The construction of Railway Over Bridge at Matiapada on Puri-Konark Road on EPC mode with a cost of Rs 137.61 crore has also been approved.
Similarly, a project involving reconstruction of 5 submersible bridges by replacing those with high level bridges on NH-326 (Malkangiri-Motu) with an estimated cost of Rs 154.05 crore has got Central nod, a ministry release stated.
