New Delhi: The Centre on Thursday cleared a proposal to set up 50 new kendriya vidyalayas (central schools) across the country. Four of them would be opened in Odisha.
While two KVs will be opened at Champua and Anandpur in Keonjhar district, the other two will come up in Chatrapur and Gunupur in Ganjam and Rayagada district respectively.
The KVs are proposed to be opened in the civil/defence sector and once they are fully functional they will provide quality education to about 50,000 students, said a government statement.
