Bhubaneswar: The Central government has extended the last date of internship of MBBS students to be eligible to appear at NEET PG 2023.
The Union Health Ministry in a tweet said the cut-off date for MBBS aspirants to complete their mandatory one-year internship has been extended from June 30 to August 11. On January 13, the government had extended the cut-off date from March 31 to June 30.
“Considering the future of more than 13,000 MBBS students across 5 States/UTs who were not eligible for NEET PG 2023 examination due to delayed internship, MoHFW has decided to extend last date of completion of internship for eligibility to Aug 11, 2023,” the ministry tweeted.
According to a notification of the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS), the candidates, who are completing internship between July 1 and Aug 11 and fulfilling all other criteria, can apply for NEET-PG 2023 between February 9 and 12.
