Centre Issues Revised SOP For Migrants’ Train Travel

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday issued a revised Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) on the movement of stranded workers by trains.

On Monday, the Odisha government had decided to bear the cost of transport of stranded migrant workers arriving by special trains if the host state refuses to do so. The cost will be adjusted against the quarantine incentive, an official press release said.
