New Delhi: In a bid to make cars safer, the Central government is planning to make passenger-side airbags mandatory for all cars. Currently, the driver side airbag is mandatory for all.
Other safety features such as speed alert, reverse parking sensors and seat-belt reminder were made mandatory from July 1, 2019.
Government is also planning to ban child-lock systems on all four-wheelers used for commercial purposes.
