New Delhi: For the first time, the Ministry of AYUSH will host global Surya Namaskar demonstration with participation of around one crore people on the day of Makar Sankranti on Friday.
Keeping the recent surge in COVID cases in view, the Ministry has advised the people to do ‘Surya Namaskar’ at home and upload videos on the links used for registration.
As many as 13 rounds of live Surya Namaskar will be conducted on DD National channel from 7 am to 7.30 am on the day. Leading yoga masters and gurus from global institutions will share their messages during the programme held as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Union Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal will give his message on Surya Namaskar and Minister of State for Ayush Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai will share his thoughts about the event.
