Nabarangpur: Life was hit in Chandahandi town in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Saturday following a 12-hour dawn-to-dusk Chandahandi bandh being observed by the ruling BJD.
Government offices, educational institutions and trading establishments remained closed in the town while vehicles stayed off the road due to the bandh.
The BJD is observing the shutdown protesting against the alleged apathy of the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests for not giving environment clearance for a proposed multi-purpose project on Tel river.
