Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with three cases.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Naidu, now the Leader of Opposition, has received relief in the Inner Ring Road (IRR) case, excise policy case and sand mining case.
Naidu was arrested by Andhra’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) on September 9, 2023, after being accused in the skill development case.
He was lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail from September 10 to October 31 before being granted bail by the high court in November.
The skill development case pertains to alleged misappropriation of funds from the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), resulting in a loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state government.
Naidu has denied any wrongdoing and alleged political vendetta vis-à-vis the cases registered against him.
