Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday congratulated and thanked the scientists of ISRO for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon.
Reacting on the historic success, the Chief Minister said, “This is a tremendous scientific achievement for India. I fully congratulate all the scientists and other experts involved in this historic project.”
The Chief Minister watched the landing live on television at Naveen Niwas. Secretary to CM (5-T) V.K. Pandian and officers of the CMO were also present witnessing the momentous occasion.
Naveen also posted on X (earlier Twitter) to congratulate ISRO scientists and the entire scientific community who were part of the lunar mission.
Chandrayaan-3 has landed softly on the Moon’s south pole, making India the first country to achieve a soft landing on the lunar south pole. Chandrayaan-3 touched down on the Moon at 6:04 pm IST on August 23, 2023.
