Bhubaneswar: City women who want to let their hair down with a drink or two without being frowned up, at last, have a place of their own. They can choose to dance or have a quiet meal and for once not be judged. What is more, they are safe here.
Sensing the vacuum of a ‘safe place for women to party’, a club in Patia decided to provide women looking for such options a place to call their own. Called ‘Top Notch’, the club is located at Zoris Boutique Hotel. It has a tastefully done up sky lounge as well as one of the most premium dance floors in Bhubaneswar.
To make the Women’s Day special, drinks were on the house with a live DJ. The club has roped in big names such as Dj Aqeel, Ashmit Patel and others in the past.
“We served free drinks and cocktails for women through the night on Women’s Day,” said Ayush, the marketing and programming head.
Top Notch intends to change the way Bhubaneswar denizens especially the women, party.
“We organise sepcial days for women at regular intervals, mostly on Wednesdays and Sundays where girls can have their corner and feel special with complimentary drinks.”
“You might call it girls’ night out. We call it therapy,” he added.
