Chargesheet Filed Against WFI Chief Recommends Cancellation of POCSO Case Against WFI Chief In Court

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday filed a chargesheet against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on sexual harassment allegations against him. The chargesheet was being filed before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Dipak Kumar. Delhi Police has recommended the cancellation of the POCSO case before the Patiala House Court.

Delhi Police said “no corroborative evidence has been found to indicate the commission of offence under section of POCSO”.

Notably, WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is also a BJP MP, has been accused of sexually harassing female wrestlers, including a minor. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Sunday said he will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Kaisarganj again and was awaiting the court’s verdict to speak on the grapplers’ stir.
