Hyderabad: In a heart-wrenching incident, a Swiggy delivery agent died when he fell from the third floor of a building after being chased by a pet dog.
Mohammad Rizwan, 23, had gone to Lumbini Rock Castle apartments in Banjara Hills on January 11 to deliver an order.
When he reached the customer’s third-floor apartment, a German Shepherd lunged at him.
Scared, Rizwan panicked and started running away from the dog. As tried to jump off a railing, he slipped and fell, suffering head injuries.

The owner of the dog took him to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was undergoing treatment. On January 15, Rizwan succumbed to his injuries and breathed his last.
NDTV quoted Banjara Hills inspector Narender as saying that a case of causing death due to negligence has been registered under section 304 of IPC.
The victim’s brother demanded justice.
“My brother went to Banjara hills to deliver a parcel but fell down trying to escape from the dog. I appeal to the Telangana government that we want justice. The Banjara hills police should take necessary action,” he said.
