Bhubaneswar: Don’t drink and drive because if ‘You Booze, You Lose’. That’s the State Transport Authority (STA)’s latest campaign against drink-driving, one of the major reasons for road fatalities every year.
Drink-driving caused 648 road accidents in Odisha in 2020, in which 298 people lost their lives.
The campaign ‘You Booze, You Lose’, which the STA twe
eted, has the image of a car and a bottle of liquor. In a mirror image, which shows the fatal consequences of drinking and driving, the car is crushed and a bottle used for blood transfusion mirrors the alcohol bottle, hanging upside down.
