Bhubaneswar: Indian Embassy in Ukraine has asked Indian nationals to head to bomb shelters if they are at places where air sirens/bomb warnings can be heard.
“We are aware that certain places are hearing air sirens/bomb warnings. In case you are faced with such a situation, google map has a list of nearby bomb shelters, many of which are located in underground metros,” the embassy said on Thursday.

As per estimates, over 15,000 Indians are currently staying there and many among them are students.
In another advisory, the Indian Embassy said that alternative arrangements are being made for the evacuation of Indian nationals since the Ukrainian airspace has been closed.
“Embassy will convey information as soon as such arrangements are finalized so that Indian nationals can relocate to the western part of the country. Please carry your passports and necessary documents on your person at all times,” it added.
