Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Centre (IMD) here has forecast a few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershower with one or two spells of intense rainfall over Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city on Sunday. The forecast is valid from 1.30 pm to 11.30 pm, Sunday.
The MeT office has issued orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Malkangiri and Balangir districts during the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Khurda, Puri and Kandhamal during this period.
Yellow warning for heavy rainfall at one or two places in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Boudh, Koraput and Malkangiri has been issued for July 18. While the state will experience light to moderate rain till July 18, heavy rainfall is very likely at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Koraput, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts on July 21, it added.
