Check Traffic Restrictions Near Lingaraj Temple In Bhubaneswar For Maha Shivratri

Bhubaneswar: Tight security arrangements have been made at Lingaraj Temple here for Maha Shivratri, being celebrated on Tuesday.

Besides the deployment of 35 platoons of force and 1oo officers, a joint team of Commissionerate Police and BMC will be enforcing COVID guidelines at the 11th-century shrine. The BMC has barred devotees from entering the sanctum sanctorum. They can have darshan of the Lord at Aada Katha but cannot perform puja there.

Several traffic restrictions have also been imposed in Odisha capital in view of the celebration at the temple here from 2 am till lighting of Mahadeepa, which is scheduled for 10 pm, and dispersal of the crowd.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:

>> Vehicles en route Lingaraj Temple on Rath road and Punama gate side will be diverted from Badheibanka square (Muna Medical store) towards BM High school ground for parking.

>> Those coming from Kedar Gouri Temple side may take the Koti tirtha lane and park their vehicles at BMC new market complex parking/ Ananta Basudev temple parking

>> Vehicular movement through Koti tirtha lane will be made one way for this purpose from Siddhi Mandap Lane side.

>> Vehicles coming on Vivekananda Marg/ Sanitorium square side will be diverted at Kachara Pindi on Kedar Gouri temple road towards BMC market complex/Ananta Basudev parking via Koti Tirtha lane.

* Those coming from Garage Chhak as well as Samantarapur side via Sri Ram Nagar will be diverted to BMC market complex parking/Ananta Basudev temple parking from sub-station square.

* Vehicles from Keuta Sahi side will be diverted from Kedar lane to BMC market complex/Ananta Basudev parking via sub-station square.

* Vehicles coming from Tara Sundari road will not be allowed up to Badhei Banka Chhak, instead will be diverted from Municipality Hospital to BM High school ground for parking,

* The vehicles of invitees/government officials coming on Rath road may take a diversion at Badheibanka square towards dedicated parking areas listed below via Municipality hospital road.

PARKING LOTS:
• General Parking places: BMC new market complex, Ananta Basudev Temple (north and rear side) and BM High School (playground)

Police Vehicles/Govt Vehicles-: SM High School (Northern side paved area) I

Invitees: in front of South gate adjacent to BM High School

Sebayats: Paved area in between-Hato Sahi Banyan Tree Sara and Electric Pole adjacent to lions gate.

Media: Adjacent to Hata (Weekly Market) frontal area. Two-wheelers can be parked inside Hata.
