Chemist Hangs Self In Odisha’s Puri While Streaming The Act On Social Media

Puri: A young chemist allegedly died by suicide while live streaming the incident on social media in Gop area of Odisha’s Puri district. Video of the act has gone viral.

According to preliminary information, the youth allegedly hanged himself in his shop at Nagpur Bazar under the jurisdiction of Gop police station in the district.

The deceased, identified as Sujit Sinha of Bantaligan village in the area, was reportedly running a medicine store.

While the exact reason behind the extreme step taken by Sujit is yet to be ascertained, he was suspected to have committed the act due to a family dispute.

After witnessing the scene which was live on Facebook, Sujit’s family members informed the police control room (PCR).

However, by the time the police team from Gop reached the spot, Sujit had already died. The police reported seized a note from the spot and investigation into the incident is in progress.
