Berhampur: A migrant labourer from Odisha’s Ganjam district died after falling from a moving train while proceeding to Chennai.
The deceased has been identified as Jitu Pradhan (21) of Sunaripalli village under Sanakhemundi block in the district.
As per sources, Jitu was travelling to Chennai when he accidentally fell from the moving train near Vijayawada. He was reported to have died on the spot.
It is not clear whether the mishap took place due to Jitu’s carelessness or due to some other reason.
According to onlookers, the youth was standing on the footboard of the train and accidentally fell down.
News of his death has sent shockwaves in his village, while his family members feel shattered.
