Raipur: A government school teacher in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district was suspended after being accused of forcing students to give him massage.
The accused, who is an assistant teacher at a primary school in Sendrimunda village, was suspended on Thursday, District Education Officer (DEO) Sanjay Gupta said.
Action was taken on the basis of complaints by family members of some students, reported PTI.
They alleged that the teacher asked his students to give him massage, and if they refused, beat them up. Once the Block Education Officer submitted his report, the teacher was suspended, said the DEO.
The concerned Cluster Educational Coordinator has also been served a notice, Gupta added.
A full-fledged inquiry is underway.
