Puri: A tourist died after reportedly falling from the roof of a hotel in Odisha’s Puri town late Monday night.
According to sources, the tourist, Ashok Agarwal along with his friend belonging to Chhattisgarh had come on a visit to Puri a few days back. They were staying in a three-storey hotel on Chakratirtha road along the sea beach.
Late in the night, while Agarwal was loitering on the hotel’s roof, he slipped and fell on the ground. The hotel staff and his friend rushed to the spot to find him dead and informed the police.
A team from Sea Beach police station seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. They have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation.
