Chhattisgarh Youth Carrying Ganja Dies As Bike Hits Tree In High Speed In Odisha’s Sonepur

Sonepur: An unidentified youth from Chhattisgarh died after his bike hit a tree while he was speeding away with a bag of ganja in Odisha’s Sonepur district on Tuesday.

According to sources, the young man of mide-20s was going on his motorcycle on Sonepur College road when he lost control. The bike diverted from the road and hit a roadside tree in high speed.

The locals rushed to help him but found him unconscious and informed the police. A team from Sonepur Town police station went to the spot.

From preliminary investigation, they confirmed that the youth had died on the spot. They also found a bag containing ganja from near his body.

They sent the body for post-mortem and enquired about the victim. While the locals did not recognise him, the police suspected that he belonged to Chhattisgarh. Further investigation is on to contact Chhattisgarh police to identify the youth, the sources said.
