New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) SA Bobde has written to the Central government, recommending to appoint senior-most Supreme Court Judge Justice NV Ramana as the next CJI.
CJI SA Bobde is due to retire on April 23.
Justice Ramana was appointed to the Supreme Court on February 17, 2014, and will have a considerably long tenure of 16 months as CJI before his retirement on August 26.
