Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Sunday visited Janata Maidan and reviewed the ground-level preparations for the ensuing ‘Make in Odisha’ Conclave.
He along with Principal Secretary Industry Hemanta Kumar Sharma looked into arrangements for a plenary hall, sectoral meetings, media lounge, exhibition stalls and associated logistic facilities.
Mahapatra directed the officers concerned to ensure electricity and fire safety at the venue and furnish safety certificates for the same.
Khurda Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, Twin City Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) MD Balwant Singh, Director Technical Information and Public Relations Indramani Tripathy along with senior officers of departments concerned joined the field-level review meeting after the visit.
After a gap of almost two years due to COVID restrictions, the conclave is being held in Bhubaneswar from November 30 to December 4.
