Bhubaneswar: The scheduled visit of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy to Balangir district was cancelled due to inclement weather.
According to reports, Tripathy, accompanied by Principal Secretary, Water Resources, Pradip Jena, Special Relief Commissioner Bishnupada Sethi, Health secretary Pramod Meherda and commissioner-cum-secretary, Housing and Urban Development, G Mathivathanan were to to review the development works and post-flood situation in the district. However, the team had to return to Bhubaneswar as the aircraft could not land in Balangir town due to the inclement weather.
