Child Critical As Ceiling Fan Falls On Him During Treatment At Hospital In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A child sustained critical injuries after a ceiling fan fell on him inside a hospital at Kanas in Odisha’s Puri district on Saturday.

According to sources, the child who was suffering from some ailment had been taken by his parents to the medical facility for treatment when the mishap took place.

The ceiling fan fell on the child all of a sudden when they were inside a room. The child was reported to have sustained injuries in the heat. He was immediately provided necessary treatment following the mishap.

However, the parents of the child reportedly lodged a complaint with the police alleging negligence on the part of the hospital authorities.

Officials and doctors at the hospital were not immediately available for comment.
