Baripada: In second case of drowning in the same area of a canal of Subarnarekha river, a child died in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday.
According to sources, the child has been identified as Thakra, 6-year-old son of Dakhin Murmu of Maharajapur on the outskirts of Baripada town in the district.
Thakra had gone to take bath alone to the river canal flowing close to their house without informing his parents in the afternoon. As he did not return home for a long time, his family members went in search for him.
