Child-Friendly Police Station Opens In Odisha’s Berhampur City

Berhampur: For the convenience of women with infants coming to police seeking help, a child-friendly police station was opened in Odisha’s Berhampur city.

IG, Southern Range, Satyabrata Bhoi, inaugurated the child-friendly police station at Berhampur Mahila Police station on Friday.

The initiative aims at creating a child-friendly space in the Mahila police station. It includes a resting area, separate toilet, feeding area, toys and also kids play area.

Whenever any child accompanying a complainant or any aggrieved person comes to the police station, they can use the space for their comfort.

Berhampur SP Dr Saravana Vivek M, additional SPs, SDPO Town, IIC of Mahila police station and other officers were present during the inaugural function.
