Bhanjanagar: In an unfortunate incident, a child suffered severe injuries after falling off an auto-rickshaw near Tanarada village in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Subham Parida, a Class-II student of Arabindo Integral School.
The student was rescued by some locals and admitted to a local hospital for treatment. He was later shifted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar when his condition deteriorated.
According to available information, the incident took place when Subham was on his way back home in an auto-rickshaw engaged by the school authorities for transportation of the students.
