Berhampur: A child was killed and five others seriously injured as an auto-rickshaw overturned in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Thursday.
As per reports, the auto-rickshaw was carrying the six persons including the child from Berhampur to Digapahandi. When the vehicle was crossing Ganianal Chhak in the city, its driver lost control and the autorickshaw overturned.
All the six passengers were thrown off the vehicle and fell on the ground. The local people rushed the critically injured persons to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhmapur. The doctors in the hospital declared the child dead on arrival.
On being informed, a team from Berhampur police station went to the spot and started investigation.
