Children Given Country Liquor To Fight COVID-19 In Odisha District

Malkangiri: In a bizarre incident, children of a village in the district were given country liquor to drink as a prevention against coronavirus.

A video that has gone viral in social media shows around 50 children being served country liquor in a gathering in Pasranpalli village under Padia block of the district. The children and villagers are also found not following the COVID-19 guidelines like wearing mask and maintaining social distancing.

According to reports, the country liquor acts as deterrant against the COVID-19.

In a another incident in the district recently, a sorcerer allegedly thrashed an ailing woman and fed her pig excreta for treatment.
