Bhubaneswar: Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has asked district collectors to shift quarantine centres from those places which have been identified for valuation of answer sheets of annual higher secondary examination 2020 from June 1.
In a letter to the Collectors, CHSE chairman Amarendra Kumar Pattanaik said since most of the valuation zones are used by the district administration as quarantine centres or temporary medical centres, it will cause difficulty for valuation process.
In order to ensure health safety of valuation officials, the quarantine centres should be shifted to other suitable places. If it is not possible, steps may be taken for barricading the quarantine centres separating the valuation zones, Pattanaik said adding that it should be done by May 30.
He also directed the Collectors to instruct the municipalities or NACs to provide thermo scanner and santisers for the evaluators at the vaulation centres. Besides, santisation of the valuation zones should be carried out as per COVID-19 guidelines daily, he said.
