Bhubaneswar: Members of a gang of robbers are on the prowl in Dhauli area on the outskirt of Odisha capital Bhubaneswar.
The notorious members of the gang have been committing robberies by removing iron grills of house windows in the area. The group is known as ‘chudi’ gang.
In the latest incident, the gang members committed robbery at a house located in lane 2 of Dayanadi Vihar of Dhauli area on Saturday night, sources said.
As per preliminary information, the gang members removed the iron grill of window at a house in the locality and decamped with Rs four lakh and some gold.
The scene of the gang members fleeing after committing the crime has been captured on CCTV camera. Dhauli police have launched an investigation on the basis of CCTV footage. Further details are awaited.
