Bhubaneswar: To bring out rich cinematic experience, Akshay Parija Productions has announced to make 12 Odia films in the coming two years. The movies will be made in collaboration with Zee Sarthak and Prakash Films.
“We have decided to make 12 content driven films with logical story. It will add to the talent pool. As one of the biggest production house in Odisha, we have the capability to meet all kind of challenges,” said Parija adding that his production house is ready to groom new talents too.
Being in the industry for one decade, the NRI businessman is committed to make both commercial and parallel cinema in coming years. Speaking about the association of Zee Sarthak and Prakash Films, Parija said, “While the channel will be the exclusive partner to showcase the films, Prakash films, the biggest distribution house in Odisha will take care of distribution.
Confirming his earlier announcement of making documentary films on Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanj, Atibadi Jagannath Das, Gangadhar Meher, Fakir Mohan Senapati and Gopinath Mohanty, Parija said the projects have been completed and will be released within a week.
“The duration of each documentary is 10-15 minutes which will showcase the not-so-known part of these literary legends”, said Parija.
He had earlier announced he will make a big budget historical film ‘Buxi Jagabandhu’ starring Anubhav Mohanty in lead and hiring international technicians. But the project got delayed due to lack of Government support.
“We have now reframed the subject and made a documentary on Buxi Jagbandhu which will be released soon”, clarifies Parija.
