New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to declare its Class 12 results by July 20.
CISCE’s assessment will be based on students’ internal marks for Classes 11 and 12, NDTV reported quoting sources. Best performances from 2015 to 2020 will also be considered.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on the other hand, is expected to submit its report on Class 12 assessment system before the Supreme Court on Thursday.
CBSE waited till June 1 before cancelling Class 12 board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level with senior Cabinet ministers and other stakeholders. CISCE followed suit.
The granted it CISCE and CBSE two weeks to finalize the criteria for declaring Class 12 results.
The Class 10 exams of both boards had been cancelled in April.
CBSE has set up a 13-member panel to work on the report to be submitted before the apex court.
