Rourkela: A CISF Constable died after he reportedly shot himself with his service pistol in Odisha’s Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Thursday.
According to sources, the deceased person has been identified as Abhinandan PK from Kerala. A constable in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), he was posted as security in charge of the steel plant in Sundargarh district.
Abhinandan shot himself with his service gun on the premises of the steel plant and died on the spot. On being informed, a team from Tangarapali police station went to the spot and seized the body.
They have informed his family and kept the body in the morgue of Ispat General Hospital in the city. They would start further procedures after Abhinandan’s family identifies the body, the sources added.
