Mumbai: French carmaker Citroën has started its operations in India with the launch of new C5 Aircross SUV.
The ex-showroom (Delhi) prices are as follows:
Feel Monotone: ₹ 29.90 lakh
Feel dualtone: ₹ 30.40 lakh
Shine: ₹ 31.90 lakh
The company is currently locally assembling the SUV in Tamil Nadu. It is being imported as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit.
Citroën, known for its quirky styling, has lived up to its reputation with the C5 Aircross as well. The top-end gets LED projector lamps, panaromic sunroof, front fog lights with cornering function, 3D LED tail-lamps, 6 airbags and 18-inch two-tone alloys.
The interior has options of Grey Grained Leather and Graphite Cloth with Advanced Comfort Seats. Gadget-wise, there’s a 12.3 Inch TFT instrument display, dual-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror Screen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six-speaker audio, etc.
The company claims that the driver’s seat is made of a special foam that is supposed to make the cabin extremely comfortable. The second-row seats can be adjusted individually and have reclining function too.
Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that makes 175 bhp power and 400 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with different driving modes including snow and all-terrain options with Grip Control.
The fuel efficiency is rated at 18.6 kmpl.
Those who booked before April 6 received a complementary 5-year maintenance package.
