Bhubaneswar: Two-day fashion extravaganza, Bhubaneswar Style Week 2017, with eight designers showcasing ensemble from all corners of India concluded here on Sunday. As many as 30 models, including 10 from Odisha, sashayed down the ramp. The show was choreographed by John Ajay.
Bangalore-based Odia designer Sujit Meher presented the culture of Odisha through his designs on Day 1 of the event. Along with other designs with heavy work, designer Ritika Halan had city kids walk the ramp for her in his creations.
Designers Rohit Falod and Roshan Kumar also showcased their designs. Bridal wears and Rajputana collection were the other major themes of the style week.
Miss Asia Pacific International India 2017 Sonika Roy, Rupashree Raja Queen 2017 Susmita Prdhan and Pooja Mishra were among the models from Odisha on the ramp.
Fashion connoisseur said more of such events should be organised in the city to provide a platform to designers and upcoming models.
