Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Thursday asked the eight state-run universities to refund the unspent balance of funds it had provided to them for setting up civil service coaching centre.
In a reminder to the Registrars of Utkal University, Sambalpur University, Berhampur University, Rama Devi Women’s University, Ravenshaw University, Gangadhar Meher University, Fakir Mohan University and North Odisha University (now renamed Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University), the Higher Education department has said the state government had released the fund to set up civil service coaching centre in their respective institutes and refund the unspent balance.
However, none of them has refunded the unspent balance even after a lapse of six months.
The Department has asked the Registrars to take immediate steps for the refund of the unspent balance.
