Class III Student Suffers Critical Burn After Falling Into Vessel Of Hot Rice Water In Odisha’s Kendrapada

Kendrapada: A student of Class III sustained severe burn injuries after he accidentally fell into a vessel of hot rice water on school premises in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Thursday.

As per reports, the incident took place at Bahakandia Ananta Narayan Government Upper Primary School.

Sources said the student accidentally fell into the vessel containing hot rice water which was kept by the cooks assigned for making mid-day meal (MDM).

The student was rescued by the school staff and immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in a critical condition. His condition is stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, villagers held teachers and cooks responsible for the incident.
