Puri: A Class IX student of Bholanath High School was seriously injured after he was stabbed by his classmate inside the school premises on Wednesday.
According to sources, the two students of Class IX had an altercation after arriving at the school. In a fit of rage, one student suddenly brought a knife out of his school bag and stabbed the other.
As the student shouted for help, the school staff informed the Town Police who rushed to the school and admitted the injured student to the district headquarters hospital.
Efforts are on to trace the accused, who fled soon after the incident.
