Bhubaneswar: A Class VII student died after allegedly being hit by Mo Bus in Odisha capital on Thursday.
The boy has been identified as Sandeep Kumar Nayak, a student of Unit 8 Government Boys High School here.
Speaking to local media, the boy’s mother said that he was first hit by a motorcycle and then run over by a speeding Mo Bus while he was returning home after tuition from Delta Chhak. He was rushed to Capital Hospital in critical condition and then referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The incident has led to tension at Satapdi Nagar and Pragati Nagar with questions being raised over the recklessness of the drivers of Mo Bus, a service being run by Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), a special purpose vehicle (SPV), formed under Housing and Urban Development Department of Odisha government.
