Class X Boy Critical After Being Stabbed By Junior Student In Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A Class X student was critically injured after allegedly being stabbed by a junior of his school in Kumbharpada area of Odisha’s Puri town on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as a Class VIII student of Police Line High School in Puri. He fled the scene soon after committing the crime.

Sources said that the victim, Muna Sahoo, was proceeding to school when the other boy attacked him with a knife. The boy, who sustained injuries in his hand, was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital (DHH).

While the exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, personal rivalry is suspected to have led to the incident. Both the boys used to fight frequently, the sources added.

On being informed, a team from Kumbharpada police station rushed to the spot and started an investigation.
