Class X Student Swept Away by Drain Water In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a boy was swept away by drain water in the city on Sunday afternoon.

Sources said Jyoti Prakash Behera, a Class X student of Pala Mandap Sahi in Baramunda, was going for tuition at Gandamunda when the incident happened.

Jyotirmaya fell from his bicycle and slipped into an overflowing roadside drain near Bank Colony in Siripur area.

Some passersby raised an alarm. Soon, fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the spot and began a search operation to trace the boy.

The search operation was on till reports last came in.
