Bhubaneswar: Here is good news for the people of Odisha. Odia text translator was on Thursday added to Microsoft Translator.
“Odia is now available or will be available soon, in the Microsoft Translatorapp, Office, Translator for Bing, and through the Azure Cognitive Services Translator for businesses and developers,” stated Microsoft Translator Blog.
Odia is the 12th commonly used language of the Indian subcontinent to be available in Microsoft Translator, the others being Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and English.
Odia is spoken by 35 million people in India and across the world.
It is also one of the six languages in India to have been granted the ‘Classical Status’.
