Puri: Sankaracharya of Puri’s Govardhan Peetha, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati, on Sunday launched the logo and tagline of Clean Puri initiative.
‘Pride in Purity’ and ‘Pabitra Puri, Garba Amari’ (in Odia) is the tagline of this initiative.
Shriyansh Panda, a Class V student, won the Swachh Puri’s logo competition, while Dr Pramod Chandra Swain’s tagline was adjudged best for the cleanliness initiative.
Both were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Collector Balwant Singh, Executive Officer of Puri Municipality Bijay Kumar Dash and Sub-Collector Bhabataran Sahu were present at the launch event.
